George Vukovich, Director of Military Outreach at American
Military University (AMU) (www.amuonline.com),
was recently elected President of the Virginia Advisory Council on
Military Education (ACME). The Virginia ACME was formed to promote,
support and deliver meaningful education within all branches of the
Armed Services encouraging educational institutions to be innovative and
flexible in meeting their educational needs. The Virginia ACME is the
largest of its kind in the United States.

worldwide. As Director of Military Outreach, Vukovich manages the AMU
Military outreach team that is positioned in regions across the United
States.
Vukovich was most recently Vice President of the Virginia ACME and
sees organizational growth and greater involvement with state

Vukovich is a Gunnery Sergeant, United States Marine Corps (Ret.).
His assignments included the Formal Schools Quota Manager, Training
Command and the Staff Noncommissioned Officer at the Life Long Learning
Center, both at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. Vukovich holds a
B.A. in General Studies with a concentration in Educational Counseling
from Virginia Commonwealth University and has completed graduate level
courses with the University of Oklahoma and American Military University.
