Committed to Affordability

Committed to Affordability

For us, affordability promotes access. Through our commitment to keeping tuition rates low without sacrificing academic excellence, we boost access to higher education, so more students are able to realize their goals and derive true value for their investment.

As a testament to APEI’s commitment to affordability, each of our education units offers special rates and grants that further reduce the cost of tuition for eligible students.

Dedicated to Quality

Dedicated to Quality

We ensure quality by maintaining a focus on academic excellence—delivered by practitioner faculty who enrich learning with their real-world expertise from business, government, healthcare, public safety, law enforcement, and the military.

We believe the more than 350,000 students and alumni who have trusted us to advance their knowledge serve as proof of our commitment to quality. Accreditation by recognized and respected agencies, including the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), further signals our quality and commitment to academic rigor.

Striving for Innovation

Striving for Innovation

APEI seeks to drive innovation in education technology. We began as American Military University, offering distance education for our nation’s servicemembers, putting us among the earliest fully online educators.

This flexible learning format continues to benefit those who serve—along with a growing population of working professionals and adult learners—by providing accessible, high-quality education that adapts to their complex schedules and supports their career goals.

We continue to evolve our educational approach by integrating relevant technology and fostering innovative learning practices that prepare students with the skills that employers value most.

Our campus-based programs, focused primarily on nursing and healthcare education, also embrace innovation through the use high-quality simulation labs and other hands-on learning methods.

Outcomes-Focused Education

Outcomes-Focused Education

Through Rasmussen University and Hondros College of Nursing, APEI is one of the largest pre-licensure nursing educators (ADN + PN) in the United States, creating new nurses at our 28 campuses.

Our employer alliances and structured curriculum help get new licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) to work quickly in an effort to alleviate the ongoing nursing shortage.
