Honoring Nurses Month

APEI’s institutions are providing several opportunities to celebrate nurses this May. Nurses, including our students and faculty, make a difference every day and deserve recognition for their work.

36 Rasmussen University faculty and students were selected from nearly 200 peer nominations for the institution’s Award for Nursing Excellence. These individuals have proven their dedication to becoming skilled nurses or for their contributions to the whole nursing profession.

Hondros College of Nursing (HCN) sponsored “Diversity in Nursing”, a Continuing Education Unit event. Throughout the month, HCN is also hosting a “Salute to Nurses” tour where staff will stop at healthcare facilities in their campus communities thanking nurses for their many contributions.

Prioritizing Student Mental Health

School can be stressful, but help can be found right on your phone. Active American Military University (AMU) and American Public University (APU) students can now access TalkCampus, a free online peer-support network for mental health needs and well-being.

This new service, combined with the APUS partnership with Uwill*, continues our dedication to student mental health. No matter where students are in their journey, they can find the support they need.
